FAIITA Requests Laptop Brands to Suspend Targets Temporarily to Stabilize Channel Ecosystem
27 May 2026

The Federation of All India IT Associations (FAIITA), representing IT trade associations and channel partners across the country, has formally submitted a representation to all leading laptop manufacturers in India requesting temporary suspension of dealer targets.
In its representation, FAIITA has requested brands to put on hold dealer targets, incentive schemes, growth-linked obligations, demo pressures, and related performance parameters for a temporary period. The move is aimed at allowing the channel to correct inventory levels, reduce distress selling, and restore healthy business practices in the offline retail market.
FAIITA believes that such temporary relief measures will help stabilize the market, support inventory correction, reduce unhealthy pressure on partners, and strengthen the long-term health of the offline IT channel ecosystem.
The federation has called upon brands to work collaboratively with the channel community during this phase and prioritize sustainable growth over short-term target-driven numbers.
